At Mentone Eye Specialists, we have always been well equipped, rapidly acquiring the latest technologies to optimise assessment and management of your medical and surgical eye problems.

Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) and OCT Angiography

A technology that allows cross sectional imaging of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. This technology is non invasive and painless enabling rapid assessment of conditions such as Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Eye Disease and Glaucoma. At Mentone Eye Specialists we were one of the earliest users of this technology in Melbourne and have gained a high level of experience in its application. We have recently installed the latest Zeiss Cirrus 6000 which has OCT Angiography capabilities

Anterior Segment Imaging

Performed with our ‘High Definition Pentacam , Anterior Segment OCT and with ITrace technology’ enables detailed assessment of the Cornea the ”window of the eye” in conditions such as Keratoconus and preoperative Cataract Surgery Assessment, and assessment of mechanisms of Glaucoma

Lasers:  YAG, Double Frequency YAG and SLT

for treatment of conditions such as Glaucoma and Diabetic Retinopathy.
